I can't remember the last time it was useful. I guess in Conquest where you'd lose points, it's probably worth it. When you're using Bane/Wampa or any other empty space squads for banners, it's annoying. "You made Wampa/Sidious Bane like this!" and you still warn me?!
What I'd much prefer is a "You've chosen a Wookie that doesn't usually fit with this team. We know the icons now are very confusing, please check to see if you've chosen the correct Wookie" warning.
Then people would be complaining about getting the warning when using unusual counters like the Reva JTR CRex team that happened a while back.
Misidentifying portraits I can somewhat understand. But if you’re messing up the character models, you’ve gone through it too quickly without checking, which is when the current warning is helpful anyway.
