I think Malgus is really the reward for building out that squad.
Again, you never know but the GI might help them out a lot.
Except - I got the red conquest crate with ZERO of the three Inquis feats. i did have to complete everything else including SKiller feat. I later did the Purge feat because I finished a few days early…
SO…..they aren’t even needed for Malgus!
I though maxing out Conquest was easier with them but I might be wrong.
But you don’t have to max out the points to get the red crate.
Also all Inquisitor points could be done with 3 star gear 8 Inquisitors…. So… not really worth spending 2000 kyros for that.

I mean the squad is just trash. The over use in events, when they are awful, is frustrating. Is the point to just irritate players with a garbage squad?

I appreciate the humor Ultra ;), but by that logic the new Grand Inquisitor (at least according to the live action show), will be the weakest of all of the inquisitors. He sure did a lot of walking around though. Maybe thats a good leadership ability "Walk Towards Target"- Whatelse734 years agoSeasoned Ace

You mean the "Jedi Hunters" that are literally countered by Jedi in the game? I bet if we put Kit Fisto, Eeth Koth, Ima Gun Di, and Jedi Consular with JMK, JKL, JKR, or even JML they'd all survive the match. (I'm sure someone with them geared up will give that a shot.)
Dead Plo Koon and dead Luminara could probably beat the inquisitors in a 2v5 match. - KellinDrexel4 years agoSeasoned VanguardAt least they're good in Galactic Challenges, my G8 Inq keep beating those G12 teams for the 9th box.

It's pretty lore accurate with Rebels, right? All the inquisitors couldn't overcome Kanan (blinded, half trained padawan) and Ezra (barely trained by a half trained padawan). - MasterSeedy4 years agoSeasoned AceSo the best theory that I've seen has been that with Grand Inquisitor present, all leadership abilities of Inquisitors are active at once -- kinda/sorta like a DS Phoenix squad whose uniques become universal instead of individual.
When I first heard that theory, I had some thoughts about it on Discord. Please allow me to quote myself:the GI has to be someone with super-strong uniques, rather than a super-strong lead UNLESS (as said above) he activates all leadership abilities at once. (That would be a nightmare to keep track of, but on the plus side it would mean that there's a long list of specific, quality teams who couldn't counter them.)
I'm more in favor of strong uniques, but not activating all leaderships at once so that you can make the squad powerful enough to completely overwhelm a near-meta team, which one being dependent on which leader you use. If you made all leaderships active you couldn't add similar strength bonuses or you would have a team that completely overwhelms many different near-meta squads, and I'm just wondering how that balances.
The idea from my perspective would be this: By having the GI in a non-leader role and having the other Inq's leadership still have a lot of power to shape how the team performs, but then giving it a ton of bonuses from GI you can make a squad that can go on offense against any one of 5 different near-meta squads and completely overwhelm them, but on defense they are easily bypassed b/c there's only one team you can't use against them (which one being dependent on which leader they have).
Having Inqs be ferocious on offense but terrible on defense would fit their role in the SW universe: They can be fearsome on attack of course, but when they're on the defensive you can also break into their home base, completely destroy it with one stray blasterbolt, then wander out of the complex no problem as long as you hide your 5-member squad under a raincoat. - adamja4 years agoSeasoned Acenot all squads have to be GL level, just annoying when they push inquisitors and force them in galactic challenges meanwhile they are trash, but that's how it is
