Can someone tell me how the door's cooldown works?(rancor raid tier VI)

Can someone tell me how the cooldown on the door works? Sometimes I can pull the switch the moment I enter, while other times I'm forced to wait for the entire cooldown.

You are contradicting yourself. If you think that cooldowns are not shared, why is yours ready or almost ready when it should follow the bar where you left off?

Sorry I can't accept your explanation as it is just conjecture at this point. There is no proof that cooldowns are not shared.
