This. And wouldn’t they also fix hard and normal at the same time? It seems more plausible they they had no idea about normal until they got more feedback, rather than them hoping no one would notice normal was jacked up after they fixed hard.
Seems to me they "hoped" normal was just fine after fixing hard without actually checking to be sure it was functioning correctly. Again, why wait for players to beta test something to make sure it works right before you take corrective action? "I hope everything's working right, but if not, I guess the players will let us know."
Hope isn't a strategy.
