For me it's the TBs.

I simply don't find them fun. Even where I'm able to win, the vast health pools and high defense mean that you can reach the point where you know you're going to win long before you actually strike the final blow. If you can blow through tenacity enough (or use enough guaranteed debuffs) to control the defenders, you're left hacking at trees. It's not a fight, it's work.

But, of course, you have to donate a huge number of BSF, DR, and Malak to the platoons, so most times you can't even use your best toons, the ones you worked your tushy off to get. Why work hard to get a difficult toon if all you get is a punch on your platoon card, with no opportunity to actually play the character?

The rest of the time, I typically get blown away. And don't even try to use Bugs in their own TB outside of their special missions. You end up facing Padme and it is literally impossible for the bugs with their repeated attacks to kill anyone - yes, even with my relic5 GeoSpy. I know because for a while I didn't have the GP on Sun Far to qualify for special missions. I thought might as well use the Bugs on other missions, it's their planet after all. But nope. Infinite loop goes nowhere.

LS Geo is going to be worse. Plus it requires GA$, which no one has and takes ridiculous investment to get. I was prepared and got through the first phase of the Anakin event. I easily qualified for phase 2, but despite being well above the minimums I was easily destroyed every time. You need multiple relic toons to make it past p2.

I wasn't ready to even try p4. There's no way I'll be ready for the 2nd go round of GA$. G12 gear just isn't easy enough to get to take 5 GalReps and 5 SepDroids to relics without neglecting everything I need to do for DS Geo TB.

As I've said, and as we all know, with the difficulty on DS TB is going to crush you when it's not boring you, so it's necessary to take many other toons to Relic level - traya squads, BH squads, etc. And since you might face 5 different missions when you include the special, that's 25 relic toons required, assuming you even get to use them and don't have to donate them to platoons. You need 35 relic toons in order to be able to donate what your guild needs in platoons and still have 5 intact squads left over.

Sure, one of those is going to be the SepDroids you need for Anakin, but now you have to fit in the GalReps too just to acquire GA$ before you can start **qualifying** for missions in LS GeoTB.

The truth is that I'm a 4.8Mgp player. I'm decidedly endgame (even if I'm nowhere near dominant-endgame). And I doubt I'll qualify to attempt all special missions on LS Geo TB for a year.

When you talk about making things impossible, this is the definition: We are not allowed to attempt new content until it is old content.

What's the point of that?

Have to have something to work towards otherwise we would just blow through the new content and then beg for more.

On that same note, I think they went a little overboard on this new difficulty.

Going off of the DS Geo plus the info we got on this one I can guess most people are not ready for this one. We shall see.

of course we do. But right now we need approximately 35 relic'd Dark Side toons to make it through DS TB.

Do you have that?

Are you going to have that next week? In three weeks? In three months?

Even if you have 35 relic'd toons just on the Dark Side (I have 8 and only 5 are Dark Side), how many people do you think have that? Do you have a guild with 30 or more players all with 35 relic'd DS toons? When do you think you will have that?

Of course we need something to work toward, but he point is that the DS TB gives us all we could need for that for quite a while. I don't think that there's a single guild out there who has gotten 33 stars on DS and it's been out for months.

So what does LS do at this point? It slows down progress. That's right, it requires you to get more relic'd toons while slowing your progress by - at least this is my current understanding - making things so hard that you are guaranteed to get lesser rewards on LS than you get on DS.

If they released LS Geo TB 6 months from now, then we could focus on the current challenge.

If they allowed us to choose LS TB or DS TB, then as guilds we could choose to focus on one challenge even though the other has been released.

As it is, the requirements have been increased while the current appearance is that rewards will be reduced. (Though I'd be happy to be proven wrong once TB gets going.)

That's a problem.

That is the point of this TB. They want use to spend $ to get all the characters where they need to be to win.

The problem isn't the DS TB. It's also not needing to work for a year to master it.

The problem is releasing LS TB at this time so we now have twice as many things to work for with less currency to achieve it.

Releasing LS TB 5 months from now and/or allowing us to choose between LS and DS would mean none of the LS development time is wasted, we have just as much to work for, but we won't be spread as thin and rewards won't be reduced.

Releasing impossible tasks now isn't helping give us something to do. We don't actually get to play - we just donate to platoons and we're done, then collect lesser rewards. Less play time. Less fun. Less rewards.

Together that equals less good.

Now I could be wrong, and maybe the prize boxes will hold so much g12 gear that progress isn't actually slowed, except in working toward Capital Ships and Malak/GA$ shards. As it looks, though, I think we're getting content we can't play and at the same time slowing progress towards acquiring the characters we need to begin playing it.

Is your guild getting 33* on DS yet? If not, you probably have plenty more grinding to do without being set back on LS.

Get yourself a set of 25+ speed mods. For all toons.

That's the most ridiculous advice I've ever heard. I don't have a single mod with +25 speed and I've been playing the game for almost 4 years. I have 175 toons. There are 6 mods per toon.

So, let's do the quick math, I'm ... 875 mods short on everything but arrows. On arrows, there are toons that can live with a +30 speed arrow, but if you're going Offense or Health or some other primary on your arrow, that's a few more.

Actually, if you think about it, getting a +25 secondary speed with an Offense primary on an arrow is much better than getting a +30 speed primary with junk secondaries. So let's go all in. I'm 1,050 mods short.

If I used all my crystals to farm mods, I wouldn't have enough money to level them or enough materials to upgrade them. Since I haven't gotten any +25 speed mods in 4 years, but I also haven't been focussing on mods to the exclusion of gear, etc., I figure if I really, really focus I can get 1 or 2 +25 mods a year. But hey, we're being optimistic here. Let's say I can get 5 +25 mods per year with intense farming.

That means, hold on, let me do the math, I'm only 210 years of mod farming away from being able to return my focus to collecting meta toons and gear.
