I don't even know what you're talking about.
To the op. Sometimes there's problems because android has to be updated by both the carrier and manufacturer, after android builds a new os update. This means there's a lot of inconsistency between android devices. this may be your problem.
On top of that manufacturers won't always support a new os update because they want you to buy new hardware.
Apple software will always be the latest and greatest for every device.
