With the exception of the current unit which is a requirement, which most people won't be getting day 1. What's the rush?
The secret to a healthy life balance with conquest is go for the unit in 4 rather then 3.
I never go for red crate anymore I go for gold, and cut out most of the global feats. No 40 battles or 100 kills etc.
I get the £10 pass which is the best value for money in the game, which is just about all I'm spending nowadays other then the odd crystal top up.
After the first 3 cycles i'm 15 shards short, which I can get in the first few days of the next cycle.
CGs job is to make you want everything day 1. Sometimes we have to take a step back and go especially in the context of this game a month is nothing.
This way you get to leisurely enjoy getting through 5 sectors of conquest and be a little bit focused on getting some feats along the way. Some days I don't even do a 50 refresh!
If you do want something day 1 in this game it costs you a lot of money or a lot of time. This is the same of every game mode and character. It's your choice but I don't think you can complain imo.
