OK, I had a look.  I think this is Light Years worse than that LSB conflict.  This one, they knew full well what they were doing.  They're basically forcing those at the top of the game to keep up or FOMO and catching out the gullible/ignorant.  

I just checked the information on the LSBs you mentioned and in CG's defence:

1. The WT pack was '21' and the Kenobi pack (with WT in it) was 53.  When they released the first pack, they probably had no idea they'd release the second pack.  With this datacron situation, they knew full well about the releases.
2.  The WT LSB was a bit cheaper (but as you pointed out worse value).  It's more than conceivable that the only character you needed from the Kenobi pack (consisting of Kenobi, Wat Tamborine, GG, Shakademus, Jango and the Negotiator) was Wat; he's by far the hardest to pick up.  In this case, the earlier pack would be better value......right?
3. The new pack could have been from feedback.  "Hey, these characters are what I'd like to see in an LSB, release it AND FIX YOUR GAME!!"  scenario.

I read your original post, I think you're basic point was valid.  If they released the paid crons today, at the same time as the farmable ones.....fair enough.  However, how many players bought them for money thinking that they're extra crons you can only get that way?

You can blame the players for not knowing.  However, if they have to get the information from a 3rd party source (SWGOH events, SWGOH.gg, streamers) then that definitely isn't right.

I will hunt for my brain later.  I didn't expect that they would become available in shipments until I was told otherwise by a streamer.  My thoughts were "If they are selling a datacron for £100 they must be making it something you can't resist.  E.g. permanent like a cross platform omicron (OK, that information is available on SWGOH) or FOMO/the only way to get it.

Huh. I had no knowledge of any of this and assumed it was another LSB type situation. Post rectified.

I think the difference is the paid ones are already levelled instead of costing resources. 

Lmao what. The $100 maxed out cubes are FDCs for set 28, which we will be farming next conquest. The info on the set has been available on swgoh.gg for days.  Anyone with a brain knew those FDCs would be available to buy for Episode Currency on the next shipment refresh, which is today.

SWGOH YouTubers have made videos about this. It's been all over Discord that Wampa FDC is back with set 28. The store offer was targeted at people with lots of money and zero common sense. You're not the target demographic. You're supposed to ignore it, like 99% of everything else in the store, and move on.

There's nothing deceptive here. You're just behind the curve.
