If it was implemented it would cost $ not crystals, as this game is about paying to save time. Allowing F2P to salvage gear from farmed characters would allow for time savings on farms. Allowing F2P's to rent toons and swap the same gear from character to character would circumvent the pay to save time model the business of SWGOH is built around.
