Yes, it's been clear from the beginning that Chaze were exaggerated and over tuned toons. I'm sure it started as a marketing ploy for the new SW universe Disney wants to create, but in some sense of the word, they "ruined" the game over some marketing. It works for Disney because you can't get around them in arena shards anymore, it seems like the majority of people are running them. So as far as marketing, they're in your face constantly in game and in forums.
I am also hesitant to say nerf, but it should at least be considered. And send out crystals to those that have them. Either way you slice it, it all ends bad for players. And that's the unfortunate part, the only real losers are the players if anything is done about them. Disney gets their marketing, EA/CG continues to rake in cash because they are scary efficient at that and it's just another day at the dev studios. But players get to swim in all the muck.
