Agree on both things.
Even if you accept the loss of rewards from coliseum aren’t that much in the grand scheme of things, there is absolutely no good reason to arbitrarily gate some people out of the opportunity.
Same with the operations deployment. It’s such an easy fix to move the start time of either one by an hour and line them up. Yes, people can ask their guildmates to wait an hour to fill operations, but again, there is no good reason to make people have to do that.
The TW one doesn’t bother me as much. I think most people aren’t affected by it. I assume most guilds have some sort of plan/expectations of filling defenses that don’t include “fill in every slot with dumb squads just so we have some defense placed.”
Easy fix for operations - move the timing by an hour for one of them. Really, it’s more than just this for times. They’re really getting crazy about more and more random start times for things. Yes, you don’t need to log in right away to do era battles and marquee events, but there’s no good reason they’re on a different timer. Same with weekly store refreshes. No good reason to have episode shipments and legend tokens refresh on different days.
For raid, either figure out how to give credit for people who have submitted raid attempts in the last week or so or just stop using that one as a quest.
