Is there just no way to get Era Level 110-115 materials as a f2p player? Only places I see them available are 7 star marquee tier which I'm definitely not going for and in the store for money.
I thought maybe Colo would give them but I managed to get all the way to Tier 12 and still nothing.
Not just F2P players, they are screwing those that spend real money because if you notice the episode pass (both options) DO NOT include them either, that is asinine.
F2P way already exists, you just wait till Era ends and then gear him yourself for free. If you want instant, then you pay.
The issue is that the changed everything up again. Both Maul and Cassian events had these materials for rewards and now Rotta event does not. The complete radio silence on the issue doesn't help things either. One can debate wheter Rotta is ftp accessible or not. I would have to look more in depth at the marquee structure, but I think you need to at least buy a pack to get them to 4*. Most players should have enough crystal income to do that without spending actual cash.
I can understand the anger at buying the pass, and still not being able to advance past level 110 without spending cash. I am beginning to wonder if buying the big pack pull is worth it if we are going to be stuck at g12 +3 going forward. The last two cycles I was able to get everyone into low relics with only buying a few credit packs, which were a waste last time due to the massive make good. This time, I have been tracking everything at the end of each two week cycle. So far, I have only purchased two of the smaller credit packs during the R5 weeks. I'm at 110/98/95/91/90/90. I guess I'm on track to get everyone to at least 110 assuming the other 110+ material is not made available. That is pretty disappointing based on the last two cycles.
Overall, I don't think I really like the era set up. It is really preventing me from spending crystals elsewhere (like on relic material). That is partially based on wanted to have a certain crystal cushion in case they release a new meta capital ship. However, buying the 12 pack pulls for everything really puts a dent in my stash that I can barely get back in each two week cycle. Further, I hate having seven toons dumped at once and have to go through modding everyone at once. That is very time consuming.
Without the 110+ mats, why buy packs at all? You get 105 with 3 stars for free. Spending to 4 stars gets you 5 whole levels. Buying to 5 or 6 gets you NOTHING.
The bait and switch tactics of the era system is really poor business practice. At 1st I wondered why CG hates their paying players so much, but then I remember the old adage: "never assume malice that which can be attributed to incompetence."
Just came here to find out what’s going on. Are we really no longer getting the era characters at relics even after having spent to get them to 5*?
They don't even have enough materials to get more than one character past 120 because they are making this up as they go. We're the beta testers having to point out the ridiculousness which seems fruitless.
There's no QA/QC being done, just releases.
