I only take things with a grain of salt at this point. A developer also said in the June podcast that was hyped up that they acknowledged players were sick of rebels. Since then we have had numerous other rebels drop, an entire game mode centered around them, and pressure to farm them (Phoenix Squadron zetas, Hoth Han, Rebel Officer Leia, Commander Luke, reworks of Leia, Han Solo, Old Ben and Stromtrooper Han). Rebels also had 2 excellent characters just added! (R2, and Fullcrum). In that time period I feel like Thrawn was the only addition to the dark side, and no reworks either. Maybe, I am missing something... The meta in arena currently revolves around Rebels to the point where it is very rare for a dark side team to even get into the top 20. It really is just too much.
