Completion pop-ups & small annoyances

The temporary message that pop up towards the top left of the screen. These used to only appear upon completing a Journey Guide requirement. I had these popping up today for daily quests.

I keep track of my hard node farms. Upon simming a node, the summary screen of loot drops appears. If you're farming character shards from this node, you get, for example, 46/65 highlighted in green. I write down this number for my tracked hard node farms every day. The hard node farms are usually the first kind of energy I spend when I do my dailies. So tonight, the "spend 600 energy" completion progress pop up appeared with every hard node I simmed and for a few seconds actually obscured the view of the number of shards that dropped. Now, I know this complaint may sound like a nothingburger, but let's say this pop up eats an extra 10 seconds a day because I repeatedly wait for it to go away so I can actually see how many shards dropped from the sim. In a year, that's 3650 seconds. There are 3600 seconds in an hour. This is an extra hour spent in a game that's already time-consuming and this is an hour that's gonna be spent for no good reason at all other than one of the devs is proud of that animation and wanted to show it off more often.

CG. Guys. Come on. Who had this brilliant idea? The animation is pretty slick and it's a nice affirmation when it appears upon completing a JG requirement, but spamming them when I spend energy for farming the raid tickets is just gonna get incredibly annoying incredibly fast.

This is a tiny small minor detail of the new update, but it's small stuff like this that adds up and builds resentment because whoever implemented it only thought about the slick animation and not the additional screen time or the fact that the animation obscures the information on the screen the player might actually want to look at.

I realize this is probably a pointless post, this little change is here to stay and it's gonna be another small annoyance that everyone will have to get used to.

On the topic of small annoyances:

Entering a newly opened sector in conquest plays an unskippable animation: the screen pulls from the boss node to the beginning of the sector. Yes, I know what a conquest sector looks like. I know I have to start on the left and reach the boss node on the right. Do we still have to do this every single time?

Tapping a node in conquest causes the node to get pulled so hard to the left of the screen that it nearly goes off screen instead of centering the node. This has been in conquest for years and I still have no idea if it's a bug, related to the resolution of a device's screen or actual intended design.

Ads pushing event widgets off the main cantina screen sometimes.

The fact that to close the PC app you have to enter the settings screen (unless you tab out and force close) which displays the player id at the bottom. If someone happens to be streaming, they could end up showing their player id to stream viewers. This is a security issue that you introduced, CG, because on mobile, we don't close the game by going into the settings menu.

I'm sure other people could name other small annoyances that maybe aren't game breaking, but sure as hell represent small pebbles on the big pile of stupid stuff that is in the game for no reason other than "looks cool the first time". The 100th time it's just an annoying waste of time. Those seconds add up. These small annoyances have added dozens of hours of "playtime" to every player's account over the years.
