Okay, let's face it. The new "promotion" event? It's ludicrously easy. And considering that the required characters and enemies are a bit of a mish-mash with only 1 wave, it's almost like CG rushed ...

i think the ROTS event was aimed at newer players who are still unlocking the characters that are given there.
for the higher end game players you get some shard currency but for the newer players those 40 shards from each of those is an amazing gift.
feels like the LSBs they rolled out are also aimed mostly at the newer players as well not even allowing ppl with 7 star razor crest to buy the LSB to get their BAM to relic 5
and then they went back to SLKR and Rey LSBs and to make them "worthwhile" for older members who already got those GLs / bought the previous they made them a bit higer relic level. bottom line this whole "May the 4th celebration" feels aimed at newer players.
taking the core players for granted is usually not a smart move though... we'll see how goes
I mean LSBS as a premise have always been about new players. And ROTS event is just free stuff either characters for really new players or free crystal shards for basically nothing.
well alot of ppl take them as a "catching up" either with characters they havent got to gear yet, therefore allowing them to focus on new content which is becoming more and more of a "must do" (example conquest missions needing all new characters and squads / next raid going to use the new marquees and a very few older characters).
also "catching up" for ppl who took a break from the game and came back after a few monthes... instead of focusing on older squads from years ago, there are enough new content they missed and now need to catch up on and newer content coming out all the time as well. so instead of going back to gearing geos for example, LSB...
