im logged online but while the game is loading up it shows the message 'Checking for Updates' and as once I waited awhile it saying 'connection error try again'

Same here, checks for updates and then spits out connection error (which there isn't). Been a couple of hours now.

It is against TOS aka forum rules to ask for, joke about, or suggest any kind of reimbursement. But usually compensation happens. So don't stress.
