Conquest QoL: Battle Timer adjustment?
TLDR can we get a 10 min timer for basic conquest nodes?
So I'm sure we've all been frustrated with timing out a battle in conquest. The 5 minute timer, compared to how insanely pumped the opposing teams are in terms of health/prot/speed? Ridiculous. I just fought a Mon mothma squad, in sector 2, so only R5 and overprepared-2. I watched the timer and it was a full 25 SECONDS OF ASSISTS before I got to take my first turn. This happened repeatedly depending on TM throughout the battle, just these 15-20 second rebel assist train breaks. Anyway I managed to kill 3 or 4 toons a bit faster than they got revived, but still timed out. On 4x speed of course, but not on auto because many of these conquest teams require intelligent strategy and MM rebels is sure one of them. Generally it's just a crap ratio of enemy turns to my turns, time wise. Same kind of thing happens with Carth OR, and certain Empire squads like Palp or imp troopers, but at least they don't constantly cleanse and revive. Anyway, the real kicker here is that they made all the sector boss and sub-boss battles 10 or 15 minutes, but with the exception of maybe Lord Vader and JMK that extra time is not at all needed, and most of the sub-bosses end up being way easier than any random node in the sector.
I checked old posts and the last time someone asked, Doja Fett engaged and said they would make it a priority, but as we know they left CG a few months back. Can we get this fixed? Like, 10 min for normal and sub-boss nodes, and 15 for sector bosses? It's just PvE for crying out loud - not like it's going to affect arena, GAC or TW fairness. There were a few points against raised in that last post, like I guess the devs were concerned that 1- we'll cheese the feats (we do anyway, on the sub-boss nodes) and 2- certain squads get super OP the longer the battle goes, (which if they get that OP the battle should end swiftly right?) And anyway F-yeah let us eat the OP cake! This is literally the whole point of conquest: enemies get their OP faction buffs, and we get to craft our own ala carte OP buffs from disks, boosters, and now datacrons. It's mutual OP bukkake, and that's the one thing that occasionally makes this grind of a mode even a little bit enjoyable.
