Conquest: Rebel Fighter feat (sector 3, hard)

Question

I don’t own a decent rebel squad. I have not used a rebel fighter squad in any battle for this reason. I wouldn’t even waste 20 energy on my rebel squad. It’s telling me I have defeated 6 with rebels? I havent even got the tools to defeat 1 with a rebel fighter so how can it show 6?

While I have been writing this, I’ve just had a go and done what I said I would do and wasted 20 energy using my rebel fighters. They all got one shot. So where has the 6 come from?

If I know where the 6 came from because then I’ll replay the same team on the same mission.

I just don’t know how I have accumulated 6 defeats with rebel fighters without actually using rebel fighters?

The maximum defeats is still only 5 (or 6 if you included mon mothma’s side kick) per game though isn’t it?

Or

are you saying that you would get the defeats for the bug plus defeats for rebel fighter who defeated them?

Dont worry, It’s all good. You have answered my question and helped out massively. So thank you. That mission is getting a battering over the next few days. Hope they don’t fix the bug to quick, my actual rebels are pants.
