Conquest, S2 Attempt to inflict burning

This feat is not counting correctly. It is possible (if not probable) that the game is not counting attempting to inflict burning on someone already burning.

While it's true that burning doesn't stack, that doesn't mean that I did not **attempt** to inflict burning on the poor, terrified rebel. Whether it failed because the rebel was already on fire or because they have tenacity up or because they made a normal check to resist, these are all examples of an *attempt* to set a rebel on fire. The reason it failed shouldn't really matter, should it?

Looking at the mechanics, it appears as though both Jango and R2 will only attempt to burn characters not already burning.
  • Which unit were you using?

It is also possible that units abilities aren't counting because of they way they are coded. Did you notice it with a specific unit in isolation?

I have noticed some things don't count against summoned units.

I’m wondering if it’s bt-1 that people are noticing. I would assume only the target locked units would count because you need the tl to trigger the burning attempt but maybe people say to themselves hey fire it must be attempting to inflict burning.

  • I brought it up earlier but it got brushed aside. I had several fights where it seemed burning didn't accumilate fast enough. I can't remember I which fights now but it was jango doing my burning. I guessed it was attempts being counted rather than landed burns and I had run into tenacious foes

Doesn't look that way to me for r2

Burning is applied after damage, so if damage kills unit it won't attempt to apply burning.

If you have the AA VA setup
If jango AoE burning first than R2 probably only get credit for jango cause r2 does damage before applying burning and would kill the units
If R2 applied burning first than jango I would expect you to get credit for both because jango applies debuff before damage.
