I think that the amount of "crunch" you feel depends on a lot of factors. Personally, I have 7 toons at 6* waiting for 7, 4 toons at 5* waiting for 6* and another 6 waiting for 5*. That is 10 million I could spend now. At 2.4 million credits from 70-80, and with 12 desired toons that are not at 78 with me, there is another 30 million credits. So, my deficit is at least 40 million credits (probably closer to 50-60). All of a sudden that 500k from GW is barely making a dent. However, at the 70 cap, I did have sufficient funds, but most of my upgrades were 5* and 6* and it only cost 2 million to get a toon from 0-70. Therefore as the costs associated with progression have increased, and the money able to be generated has stayed stable, the deficit has gotten very significant!
