CT-21-0408 "Echo" Unique

From game files: -10% damage penalty

Whenever another ally uses a Basic ability during their turn, Echo has a 30% chance to Assist, dealing 30% less damage. This Assist chance is doubled if the attacking ally is a Clone.
  • Add, when attacking outside his turn echo has a x% chance to remove one debuff from each clone ally. Also +5% assist chance.
  • -10% damage penalty, +20% chance to assist and If attacking ally is a clone, call an additional assist , grant them Offense Up for 2 turns and reduce Echo's Cooldowns by 1.
  • Let's make this a zeta and make clones a touch more viable: zeta: -10% penalty. When assisting has an x% chance to reduce his cooldown by 1 and echos attacks ( including and especially emp ) can not be countered.

    This addresses two points. Echos vulnerability without a taunter, and some mechanism to remove enemy buffs in a dual taunt scenario. It would be nice if he could use his emp every turn but an x% chance to reduce the cooldown should make things shiny.

    In a team with kenobi and baze with a zetad barris, clones are unable to beat this team at all. It's actually a bit of a stalemate though in GW after an hour or two or three or four clones will eventually lose. They just get locked in by taunts and there is no burst damage that can chew through Barris's heals ( Cody assault is severely reduced and then the clone followups because of a lack of alternative targets just end up healing cody's attack's damage ).

    It would be better if the emp would do buff immunity as well but at least this zeta would be a start.
  • Ah, excellent, Clones, my favorite! So my idea for Echo's unique was to make it a zeta and do: no damage penalty, and 20% chance to call a fellow Clone to assist when he assists.
  • In addition to proposed changes, we SERIOUSLY need to bring the "Republic" faction tag over to characters from ships. I know it will add one more faction tag to some characters that already have several, but it could be used in place of many "Clone", "Jedi", and "Clone and Jedi" allies . It is my opinion that all Republic-Era characters should synergize with each other to maximum potentials. All bonuses that Clones give each other should translate equally to their Republic Jedi allies. Understandably non-Republic Jedi like QGJ, Ezra, Kanan, and future character additions like Luke Skywalker and Starkiller Base Rey won't gain the synergy bonuses, but the Republic Era synergies should be powerful. Clones and their commanding Jedi were strong allies.

  • Well, they moved Republic characters into a new faction. Now we can focus on this zeta more.
