A new raid was introduced, some "Vader-like" exploit of refreshing rooster that shouldn't ever refresh was found... To prevent that they decide to close the guild hoping.

Is guild hopping bad to cg's view... Clearly not , they let it go forever and never condemned it... For ANYONE...
Is a not wanted refresh mechanism allowed by guild hopping with the release of he new raid and rules an exploit, well they do see it like this and decide to close it. And as stated by Jesse , easiest way is to close guild hopping.
If people can't understand that, there is no point even discussing...
People are mad cause they want dem easy obi shards without having to spend money and up their rosters
No people are upset cause they will have to join different guilds to complete the raid, or they are gonna lose some really good friends cause they will leave to get the shards.
What I think a lot of people are missing is quite a few if not most guilds have tried to help the community through the guild system. By taking in members who aren't the best of the best guilds were completely underpowered for the new raid. There was absolutely no reason to be in a guild full of big spenders. Which is probably a huge reason why the community is so great in the game and within guilds as they are. This new raid is gonna completely change the way guilds are formed and will hurt the community that was based on helping newer and casual players.
