I wish we at least had a clue as to what faction, if any, will be needed.
I'm very short on Siths (I only have Vader and Palp) and don't want to invest in them until/unless necessary. :/
I would doubt that they require a Yoda/EP style event using Sith instead, because for both of the others, you could easily farm your 5 7*s from various shipments and cantina, plus there were at least 8 available from each synergy at the time the event first came out. There are only 6 sith, so to need 5 of those 6 is asking too much.
Edit: also, the event description said "gather your best squads..." which means it won't be just one faction, at least in my understanding.
Squads being plural doesn't have to mean each person having multiple teams. You are reading it as if EA is talking to you and only you. That's acceptable, but doesn't mean it's right. It could be read as being addressed to everyone, so it's plural because each person has their own squad. So there are millions of squads.
I'm going to make myself believe that it's directed at each player, because I don't want a sith event when there are so few sith currently. But of course I'll expect nothing less lol.
They will have a nice pack you can buy to get the extra sith.- VertigoBeast9 years agoSeasoned Ace

I'm ready for a sith event. I have Vader maul savage dooku and sid. Although I won't have them all at 7 stars, I could probably get a 5* unlock.
Got EP, Vader, Sid, Dooku at 7*, Maul at 6* and Savage at 3* lol. I'd be ok with a Sith event haha.
I think it's too soon for them to use Rogue One characters only, and I think they'd catch a lot of flack for using Rebels again (Most of the Rogue One characters are Rebels except DT and Krennic). - You know it's going to be something that induces spending. Unless he simply isn't that good. A sith event would certainly ensure that some sort of sith pack sells really well. I'd probably have to pay to get Maul to 7* if it's within 2 weeks or so. And I would do just that if it's anything reasonable and he would fit in my Maul team I'm working on.
I'm worried it will be another $200+ character though. - VertigoBeast9 years agoSeasoned Ace

I'm hoping that enough people don't have Maul unlocked/starred yet that could get a good chunk of money from selling packs to star him up, and I have a feeling a lot of people that joined after the dodge meta faded away won't have dooku, and most people haven't really invested in Savage, and plenty of newer people don't have Vader at 5 stars, so it's possible they could do a sith one.
The only thing is, if it's a sith event like yoda/palp that would mean you would need 5 rebels to unlock palp and then use palp to unlock Nihilus, and it seems a little unusual for them to have that kind of chain built in, but I would be ok with it, because there are 5 other sith other than Palpatine that are possible to get. - VertigoBeast9 years agoSeasoned Ace

Maul can be farmed from guild and fleet shipments, it's a little slow but doable. Vader can easily get to 5 stars from achievements, fleet shipments, and shard shop. Savage and Sidious from arena shipments. And Dooku can be farmed from hard nodes and cantina.
I got savage from the dark side starter pack, and he was one of my first 7* characters, I had Vader up to 5* pretty easily in two months, it's been a grind to 6* him, I'm not there yet. Maul I've slowly been working on anytime I see his shards and have him at 5*. As soon as I saw the teaser picture of nihilus light saber I began farming sid and dooku in anticipation of a Yoda/palp event, and have them both at 4 stars. I'm pretty confident if that is the format that I can grab him at 5* this time, and if it's a rare event 7* him next time around.
When they dropped the first hint you should have started farming sith, especially if you want him and think he will make a sith team viable.
I'm not saying it won't happen, I'm just saying that theres probably a LOT of people without Maul because he was until recently p2p and also not worth while. And Maul probably isn't on top of people's lists until they start Zeta farming. Plenty of people probably never bothered to really invest in Savage unless they really liked him, as he's not the most useful. Dooku is farmable, for sure, just saying there are plenty of people who probably don't have him. I'm just saying that I think if they had a Sith Pack it would probably sell pretty well, and I'm kind of hoping that there are enough people out there that lack in terms of starred up sith, that this could actually end up being a sith event to increase profits on a sith pack. I want it to be a sith event, they're not specifically used for much in game, and the yoda/palp events actually make you feel like you've accomplished something. - I'm doing the same thing with Sidious. I missed out on EP the 1st time. I want to be as prepared as possible.

Most announcements begin with "Greetings heroes, so I think it's safe to assume that they're talking to multiple people (the community) and not the individual player."Polarice;883888" wrote:

Biannual? Once every 2 years?
Biannual is twice every year.
Probably was discussed, but e.g. biweekly usually means every two weeks. Why would biannual not mean the same? :)- @CG_Kozispoon : it would be greatly appreciated by us player to know in advance (like, a month before) what is the unlocking process)
Many thanks
