I spent $200 on crystals. Have about 5500 of them left, and just finished 7 starring the last character today. And I started as soon as Carth and Juhani went farmable.
I used some of those getting Ebon Hawk shards, so that throws the numbers off a little, but not too much since I got most of my Ebon Hawk shards from the Carth node that I would have been farming anyway.
