Adding more times to farm and use datacron without the chance to farm mk3 reroll material outside of TW? Really CG? I guess we will get stuck with more useless datacron than before....

As I already said their data is messed up, in previous conquest we've got 2-3 nodes dropping datacrons, I agree, 1 node was enough, but reducing the drop rate was awful while giving 3 times the upgrade materials, which are useless since we can't spent them if we don't have datacron or you just have to buy them I guess ...

It is shady because it is not consistent across all datacron nodes. I havent tried S5 yet, but S2,S3,S4 so far always gave me both chests. And even in past we were always getting both chests. I am more inclined that not giving datacron chest is a bug, as before the first chest in S1 used to give datacron or credits.
They removed credits and forgot to change to it, so no we now get nothing or datacron. Instead of credits or datacron.

I thought it was a bug at first and submitted a bug on Answers HQ where I saw the same other kind of bug reported, but it was answered by EA as WAI and linked CG_Tusken_Meathead post HERE without considering any bug in the drop rates or if the bonus node S1 is giving between 1-2 rewards since other nodes seems to give 2 chests.
In any case as @ShawDou mentioned, the drop rates are not consistent between the bonus nodes across the sectors and the displayed chest rewards are the same, only their contents are differents (for a same node).
On the screenshot You can repeatedly earn this node's rewards each time you win an optional batle here. The rewards are 2 chests, not 1-2.
The way it is displayed is confusing and the drop rate is not consistent with the others node, that's why IMO it is shady.
The datacron drop rate is averaging 20% across 115 recorded runs and 7 contributors. You may have had a bad run? Or have overestimated the number of runs - 30 would be 6 refreshes.
The bigger problem is that sector 1 is our major source of datacache, and has larger average datacache drops than sector 2. It is averaging ~85 datacache per rep. For a level 9 datacron, we need 7.5m datacache, with no rerolls.
That is 88 repeats for sector 1. In that time, we expect around 17-18 datacron drops, for the datacache required to level one single datacron to 9.
In other words, until they release some control over datacache drop rates, the datacron excess will not go away - that is still a nearly 20-fold excess.
Last conquest, sector 5 dropped datacache at approximately twice the rate of sector 1, with no datacrons attached, and with useful mk3 upgrade and reroll materials. That allowed us to target our farming at both the datacache and the upgrade materials required for the upper tier upgrades. That option is gone now; rerolls and datacache are both missing.
So for feedback: these economy changes do not solve the problem they were aimed at, and appear to increase the frustration of higher level upgrade farming over the prior datacron set economy.

The problem CG said they were aimed at. They appear to have been very successful to CG's actual goals, imo, "increase the frustration".
They to make the re-roll mats more available. I'm fine with limiting the DC's to one node, but my experience on trying to get the L3-L6-L9 abilities blows. I have 5 L6 security primer dc's and none of the cooldown abilities. I'm now out of mats and cannot get anymore. I have purchased all from the stores and have performed 9 re-rolls. So including the 5 dc's initial roll, that's 14 attempts without landing any of the coveted abilities. That's complete bs!
I'm screwed in GAC and well now I have useless Dc's for tw, arena & gac.
The new datacron set is pure cash grab. Make one super op event on both light side and dark side at t6, and the rest garbage. Then force re-rolls while limited re-roll materials. Also make credits rarer limited folks ability to get the right cron. This is all designed for force folks to buy packs or lose in gac.
Really all cg has done for the last year is ruin the economy and grab at cash at a all time high level.
Fairly straightforward that I think the game is at a all time low.
