The question is how does one measure how many people leave? I guess it would take a few days to register due to inactivity. However, if the account changes ownership, they have no way to tell.
IMO, if people are really upset about particular content, the best way is to not engage with it and don't spend money. That's not happening however. Just look at the datactons across the top 20 guilds. Multiple DC9s and DC6 per player.
As I see it, we have 3 options:
1. Don't engage and get left behind.
2. Engage even if you hate it.
3. Leave the game
It would be amazing if people would pick option 1. Just ignore the stupid things, don't upgrade, don't use them. That would send the clearest singnal. That's not happening though. People are either upgrading that garbage and grumbling the entire time, or just leaving the game, and the player sentiment gets lost
