That is what I been saying about Darth Nihilus too. He has 0 screen time!

By this logic toons like HK should be awful. The meaning for the pilots having zero screen time is because they have next to no EU great stories like Nihilus does. Wedge's coolest trait from the EU is that he used to be an Imperial and ****'s is that he was a desert rat like Luke was on Tattooine. Nihilus destroyed planets with the Force.

Sure little screen time but no great EU storied I think not.
Wedge even took on the call sign of Vader!!
He is also has a bigger role in the new canon books being released covering the time after ROTJ and up to TFA.

And Biggs? What about him? Why is he the other half of Wiggs when he has nothing going for him. Wedge is cool and all but why is he paired with a loser like Biggs Darklighter

I got nothing for biggs. But Darklighter family did get some word space in the books.

But not Biggs. I think that's why I don't like Wiggs much in this game. Wedge is kind of cool and I understand why some people would like him, but I don't with Biggs. He didn't do anything of note and died in the first movie.

I tell you why. They ran out of ideas that morning. And since Biggs is Red 3, one under Wedge (Red 2). He got the job. B)
Actually Biggs was in deleted scenes. He was Luke's buddy and influenced Luke to join the Rebels. Important? Nah. But he has about 5 minutes in deleted scenes.

Like I said I got nothing for biggs. I can only speculate. So here is my guess... Biggs was the only other rogue squadron pilot in the game, not counting Luke who wasn't in flight suit.

There have been many no name characters or characters with very little screen time that have been good so who knows the actual though process.
