Defense Heavy and Special Focused toons
Forgive me if I'm misunderstanding game mechanics here. What if we had these two scenarios introduced? A toon (Ex: Droideka) with insanely high defense that does not depend on health or protection...

Certainly a good start. What if there was a toon with insane special made to kill Sith Trooper and the like? If there were more Sith Trooper like-toons, you could essentially time out all the 3x cleanse teams while you play defense since they'll never touch you. It would start to shift meta to more DPS, specifically toons with high special damage (Jedi Luke, perhaps?) to kill super high defense teams.
Chaze teams already have a hard time killing my DN and GK under zBarriss.
Nope, sorry. I mentioned earlier, but Defense also increases Resistance, which is the stat that reduces incoming special damage. Sith trooper increases his defense, so that goes up too. What you're looking for is something that ignore defense, and off the top of my head Darth Sidious does that.
