Deployment Battles?

Has anyone worked out how much difference it makes just having everyone only deploy each phase and do nothing else?

I'm just asking because my guild got impossible platoons and due to the increase in difficulty have completed a lot less waves and are still going to get at least the same number of stars a last time.

We obviously have improved our rosters but it doesn't look like competing platoons and clearing all the waves actually makes much difference to getting stars.
  • If you do a quick math you will notice that it makes a huge difference. and the difference increases as phases get harder. That happens because the rewards you get for completing each wave increases and it becomes substatial. Platoons is only a small increase of territory points, but as it makes battles easier, it helps too.
  • Every time you finish a battle you get points. Even if you can only finish the first of six you still earn points.
  • You can easily double your points by doing the battles if you have lower range rosters. Even if you have a huge roster, it can be a 50% increase.

What is your guild strength? Of the platoons really help THAT much, it sounds like your rosters aren't very deep.
  • I don't have the spreadsheets in front of me but it's you would be giving up around 73million TP in the middle and bottom territories in phase 5 which is 2 stars.

If your guild has enough to get 1 star in a phase using just deployment you would need to get enough points from battles to get 2 stars or you have just wasted your time.

Obviously you are giving up points not doing the battles but if those points don't get you the next star you have wasted your time.

By the same token, maybe without those points you wouldn't have reached the stars you currently have. Obviously the answer is "it depends".
