People are definitely leaving, but it's not directly because of TB. It's how TB, and other things are being IMPLEMENTED. Just a few examples
- "Use your entire roster!": yeah that didn't happen. Hitting Deploy All gives 0 satisfaction.
- Changing the star requirements: Another last second cash grab in a very long line of last second grabs.
Now, many of these problems either have been fixed, or will be fixed. However, that doesn't change the fact that
A. They shouldn't have occurred in the first place (there are countless games out there that manage to cleanly release new content) or
B. The only reason they were fixed was overwhelming community outrage.
What I view as the biggest threat to SWGoH shutting down, is that there seems to be a disconnect from what the devs view as perfectly acceptable, and what a majority of the playerbase views as an acceptable standard for a product many of them pay for, with both time and money. This applies to all areas of the game. Bugs, farming (now we have toons that will take 2 years to 7* unless you pony up the cash, which caused 3 players I know to quit, and 5 other to stop spending) etc.
A large majority of updates take 1 step forward, and 2 steps back. As a day 1 player, I do feel that gap is narrowing though. The next few months will be telling, with how the devs implement DS TB, Guild v Guild, an influx of new characters from Last Jedi, and any other surprises that may show up.
