It would seem that most of the new content is for paying customers only.
The character quest stops at 65 shards.
The Episode quest require premium pass.
Would it not have been better to allow everyone to do and complete all the quests, but have two claim buttons everywhere, one for free and one for premium? Perhaps with 10% of the rewards on the free and 90% on the premium?
That way, it would still be worthwhile to attempt the quests, rather than writing angry posts on the forum about content that is out of reach, staring in our face?
isn't that similar to conquest? You can get a pass or not and you move on the same track. You progress on the same track in the same way. it is just the rewards are different. Why set this up differently?
The difference is that the rewards from the Episode Pass are REPLACING the rewards from Galactic Challenge. So they're potentially removing rewards that were once free and are now possibly putting them behind a paywall. It's also the missions that are the issue. Yes, there's a paid track in the Episode just like conquest. But unlike conquest, there's also exclusive missions for the episode with there being like 9 paid missions for every 1 free one making it seem like 90% of this content is locked out to the ftp players.
Don't get me wrong. Part of this is also we don't know what all the free quests are or how easy/hard maxing out the Free path will be. They claimed it's possible without buying the pass. Until this Episode is over, that's unknown how viable it is.
For example, I doubt this would actually be a mission but, say one of the free missions was Defeat an Enemy with GL Kenobi. Technically speaking yes, this mission would be possible to complete without purchasing anything meaning what Meathead claimed is "accurate". But anyone who doesn't own JMK will be out of however many point completing his mission would be and might be enough to stop them from completing the pass because of it meaning they are now getting less rewards than they were with the old GC system
