Difference between crit damage vs crit chance?

What's the difference between crit chance and crit damage? I see lots of crit chance on wedge, etc, but actually crit damage would seem more valuable but I know there is an actual difference but what ...

Of course there is a difference.

If wedge has 50% crit chance and a normal crit hits for 10K then on average 50% of his attacks will crit for 10K

If you boost crit chance by 10% then 60% of his attacks will crit for 10K. If you boost crit damage by 20% then 50% of his attacks will crit for 12K

Non crit attacks dont change in damage.
