Difference between crit damage vs crit chance?

What's the difference between crit chance and crit damage? I see lots of crit chance on wedge, etc, but actually crit damage would seem more valuable but I know there is an actual difference but what ...

Crit Chance is the Probability that a Critial chance will occur. (If it occurs crit dmg is put into effect)

Crit Dmg is the damage a critical attack will do... if it occurs (Crit chance determines how often it occurs)
