- Hopefully they’ve realised that the reqs they were using weren’t actually that encouraging towards gearing/relicing for their use and this becomes a permanent change. I know they’ve said it isn’t, but fingers crossed. ?
- winterwolvesNew ScoutSomeone at CG realised that getting players to spend resources on the datacrons is a longer term money maker than players relicing a toon once.
Players are much more likely to have toons at r5, so this creates more incentive to take more datacrons to level 9. CG hope that means more crystals and other resources spent on datacrons, which for some players, will mean more money spent too, be it on the datacrons directly, or because the crystal (and SSC and/or ally points) drain towards datacrons means they need more for something else.
It's pretty clever. Resources spent taking a toon to relic 7 stayed in your account forever. Resources spent on datacrons disappear from your account after 4 months. Then more resources get spent. - Trying to get more people to give a flying fudge about DCs. Doubt it will work, especially with set 10 being a steaming pile of garbage
- R7 was a steep ask on questionable toons. Probably saw that not enough people were pushing specific characters to R7 so they are toning it down a bit to see if people push them to R5.

Hopefully this ^^^
There’s been a few DCs where I would have taken r2/3 up to r5 happily. Read the room CG!- Whatelse73New VanguardThey're probably not getting the income they expected from Datacrons with people wasting money on renting them for 4 months, so they're gonna try to reduce the relic requirement to see if that works. (Maybe the boss who decided to implement them is starting to actually see some blowback from players being unhappy with this ridiculous decision?)
I expect the next set after this one will go back to R7 though because they'll want to "analyze data" to see what effect that had for a few months or a couple years. - EnigmaPotatoesNew Spectator

Why does this set have a different relic rep than the others? Unsure if this has been asked/answered
Yes. It was mentioned in the post yesterday.
https://forums.galaxy-of-heroes.starwars.ea.com/discussion/265055/datacron-set-10#latest - Range1974New RookieIt’s particularly interesting on this set because the basic stat changes are not ones that caused my guild players to get really excited and again people just are ignoring them and honing in on the potential TM train possibilities. I think the time out disks are more appealing if nothing else than to cause your PvP opponent to spend two squads attacking.
I’m interested because this purple set that is about to expire was not particularly used once I started unlocking a bunch of the newer set. I was dismantling purples to fund the newer set.
This is also the first sets to benefit Jedi I think. JML will probably destroy LV.
