Difficulty in star wars galactic battles

It's only difficult if you don't have any depth. You need more than one good squad to make it through the galaxy wars

Having a deep pool of characters to choose from helps tremendously, but a balanced team at a high gear level should get you pretty far too.

If you pick a healer (e.g. Luminara) and either a tank or a second healer, along with 1 buffing support and 2 dps, you should be able to go pretty far.

So what's the verdict on the galactic wars? These battles are ridiculous sometimes. It's enough that you don't start fresh with your abilities every match and have to learn to ration them to carry over to the next but then you go up against teams that are 10 levels higher than mine and maxed out on stars! What sort of gear is so incredibly worth all this unmatched difficulty? More character shards for standard characters and no upgrade gear? So let's upgrade our characters stars so the difficulty keeps catapulting up. Broken. Fix this matchmaking please.

I noticed that the 9th battle is now a lot harder then it used to be.

How far can you go currently until you get a team that you cannot beat at all (even if utilizing your full roster)?

This screen shot is an example of the type of galactic war opponent that has so many people upset, including me. On my entire squad, I have a dozen toons that are L80, 7*, but only two of them have gear10. After struggling through 11 nodes, my top squad has no protection left and no matter how many lower teams I have left, they will all get wiped out by this super opponent that is geared 10 & 11. Even with every toon at 100% health on my roster, I might still never beat such an opponent. You understand how this game works: once your opponent has the edge, it can obliterate you without taking on much damage, even if you're pretty strong yourself. Whatever algorithm you're using to create an opponent for me like this, needs to be fixed as this is not fun or competitive.

We are still working on tuning Galactic War.

In the meantime, my suggestion would be to send in a low level squad with 2 decent characters that can survive a few hits.

They are going to die quickly, but will hopefully have the other team use up their specials. Then bring in your best B squad (ideally with a taunt and a stun character) and try to focus fire down one of the Jedis.

Then bring in your A team (ideally with a healer and a stunner), and hopefully clean up what is left.

The other thing that helped me was to try to use my B team to beat phase 1-8 and basically hold out on using the A team as long as possible to retain protection and cooldowns on them.

Thanks for the tips. I do apply a lot of them already. My B team, even after sending in a suicide squad struggles w node 6, so I often have to use my A team there but will try not too. Yes, a team w a taunter and stunner is good for breaking down a strong squad's protection at least, but this type of opponent still kills me way before that happens. Anyway, today was bearable as there were no gear 11 foes, so I succeeded. Not sure I got my rewards tho, so I've submitted for some help on this issue. Hope a slight tweak happens for GW soon. Thx again.

Thx for inquiring on my progress; I do appreciate that. It's really still the same. I don't expect to finish the galactic war anymore since it's so rare now and I'm still overwhelmed by node 11 or 12 for sure. What algorithm is used to determine what strength opponents I'll get? Is it strictly by the power of my top squad or is overall strength across my roster accounted for? I don't think any opponent should pop up that is more powerful than one's top squad, at least not by much. We don't get our protection refilled and are already battling several squads that are pretty tough in earlier nodes, so we are already weakened by the time the final nodes come up. Still trying new toon combos tho, so we'll see.
