Anyone at the top end of arena on mature arena leaderboards has known that Zaul was not the problem, but rather the counter to Zaul was the problem. That is Rex. Using a Rex lead did not require any zeta abilities, it did not require any team synergy, and was pretty much able to beat well-synergized, heavily zeta squads.
The top end of arena will change from an equal mix of Rex and Zaul teams to an equal mix of Rex and Nihlus teams. Zylo will probably start to appear in more top ten teams as they will need more firepower now that Zaul will fade away. Niche teams like Zeta Jedi and Troopers will pop their heads up every now and again, but please do not think this has changed the real problem with the game.
You're confusing your cause and effect. There are son many Rex because it's the only team until R2 that could reliably beat Zaul. Zaul was the problem.
Tons of teams can beat Rex. As an example I run all Jedi and triple cleanse is a cakewalk. The only teams I have trouble with are Zaul/Zavage.
The Sith rework killed the balance and tipped everyone to all Zaul, Rex was the only counter, but Rex has many counters.
