No one was talking about the fixes, OP was just complaining that there now exists a counter to Zaul.
Not complaining that there now exists a counter, there has always been a counter. Stating that Zaul was never the problem. Defense will actually improve in arena as randomness will no longer factor so much in battle and arena will go back to who has the best mods.
Before the Sith rework there was a rock-paper-scissors balance of one team that could beat 2 others but not the third and vice versa, etc etc.
After the Sith rework, that chessboard was overthrown and Zaul absolutely was the problem. That's why it went from a mix of Zader, ZGJ, Zaul, Phasma, Wiggs/Chaze to a wall of Zaul.
Rex is only so prevalent because there are still so many Zauls. Rex had numerous counters, Zaul had only one that is reliable.
Can you on occasion beat a Zaul with the right RNG without Rex or R2, yes, but that Zaul team can go back and put it on auto and clear through you.
You're wrong, Zaul is the problem. If Zauls Zetas was pulled overnight you would go from 60% Rex to less than 20% at the top end.
