Do mods affect a pilot/ships power rating?

Just as the title says. Do mods equipped on the pilot affect the power rating of their ship? Or just their level, star rating, and the level and star rating of the ship?

They'll be getting hardware which includes astromech droids for x-wings, the millenium falcon, jedi fighters, arc fighters, and eventually naboo fighters while other ships will have attachments like antennas and stuff.
