With the exception of MeatHead @ CG, I don't think so, I feel bad for the guy (or gal), can't be an easy job. I do, however, agree with you OP.

The short term solution is to play fleet arena, GAC, and TW on the PC client. No such lag there. 

Can a PC client be accessed from mobile? Because if not, it’s awfully inconvenient for people like myself who like to play in short bursts. Let’s hope this isn’t another “months to fix the shipment lag” situation, but my hopes aren’t high, to be honest.

The PC client is on PC. It's kind of in the name. Just download the game to your laptop. If you don't have a PC... then I suppose you don't have a PC. I can't help you there. 

I'm not disagreeing on the lag being a problem. It is, and huge one, and it's the first thing that should be fixed because it rends the game downright unplayable if there's a battle time present. I'm just telling you that there is a way to go around it, and unfortunately, it involves using the PC version of the game. 

As for playing the game in short bursts, then purely in terms of time, the PC version is actually better than the mobile version... because there's no lag. So you can click things and everything is responsive and snappy. 

I can't exactly pull my PC out on the bus if I'm bored or on a game-related time constraint, though

You can still do a lot of the in-game stuff on your phone, just leave fleet arena and GAC for the evening when you can sit down at your PC. 

Hopefully the lag is addressed soon. 

Of course, adapt yourself to the mess they have created. It's your fault if you don't use a PC to play  a mobile game!
