To the fans (who might be boys) arguing that CG is in the right. The very first thing I thought about was Tokyo Game Show, so I checked their page:

See the dates? That's how the rest of the world does it.
Adding Blizzard before someone says "Yeah but that's in Japan"

EDIT: That said, it's CG's game and rules so really, they can say that "soon" means "in a few years" for all I care.
Blizzcon is only one day?"CronozNL;c-1284262" wrote:
Sux that you have a different interpretation than the other half of the playerbase.
Then again, you need something to nag about ofcourse.
I dont know where you life, but in the normal world you include the last day aswell...If I say you have weekends no work which includes Saturday and Sunday....By your logic you would only have free on Saturday and not Sunday...."CryGonJinn;c-1284282" wrote:
EA provides a countdown timer and said double drops to, not through, the 25th. What more could you want?
Countdown timer for double drops? Where was it? Just curious, because I didn't notice it."snowhut;c-1284304" wrote:

If CG is to be believed, yes and so was TGS.- Where was the countdown timer?
We all planned to "enjoy" the double drops for 4 days, so bad surprise this morning!
Not all of us are native English speaking, so it is not so clear that there is a so big difference between "to" and "until" or similar.
In my language if I say that I will be on holiday from 22 to 25 it means that I will come back to work on 26!!!
They should have written instead "double drops on 22, 23 and 24 September"...... - I saw 22-25 so was not happy to see no double drops today. I don't care if their wording is bad or not.
Was already mad about the short notice to farm hard nodes for him so this just adds to my displeasure. Double drops are fun. TB, GW, and Luke arena meta is not. Please add fun back into the game!!! - I didn't personally see a countdown timer. I imagine most other people didn't either, otherwise the forums would have had threads like "Be careful, looking at the countdown timer for double drops, it will actually end on the 24th" - and I didn't see any such threads.
You are wrong on the definition of "to" vs "through". Literally no-one has ever used that distinction, they mean the same thing. Go to any event on the internet, and find an example of where the use of the word 'to' excludes the last day.
If that were true all kind of thing would need to change. 0-60mph times on cars would now be 0-61, dice would roll the number 1 to 7. Come on, be sensible, its just a mistake. You cant redefine the English language just to try and make this look completely clear and sensible.
I'm not actually hugely bothered given I was getting 0 shards during double drops anyway, but I cant let a blatant attempt to redefine the word 'to' like that, go unchallenged. "AleSahnDroh_1979;c-1284315" wrote:

In English language 22-25 means 22ND to 25th. You have a better understanding of the English language then the folks that write these announcements for this game.- @tabberkev, I fully agree on the timeframe. I work in reporting and my reporting logic brain kicks in when no time stamp is given regarding the start and end time. The biggest thing I was trying to point out is the bad labeling of the event. Frustrating knowing how many more shards I need for FOST.
- I'm not native English and didn't realize the difference between this old announcement:
"So many of our Holotable Heroes confronted the ominous rise of the Empire that culminated in an epic battle With Grand Admiral Thrawn in our latest Legendary Event. Thrawn is a crafty and challenging opponent, and will no doubt make his return at some point in the future. For now, in celebration of his retreat, please enjoy double drop nodes in the following locations below! Originally, we intended to fire things off today, but in an effort to ensure ultimate celebratory-ness, this will run from 6/29 through 6/30!"
And the moste recent, "from 9/22 to 9/25".
Although I agree that the blame is on me, I cannot understand why CG decides to change the format of the dates in their announcements. It can only lead to confusing some people. Of course the name is on them.
