Totally understand that everyone who was anticipating the DR event is bummed about the release myself included. But I've never found so much negativity and depressed comments in the community forum in well a long time. To everyone let's take a step back and chill out the game will go on. To CG why not ease the wound with some free crystals/gear or whatever y'all do in these situations to help people move on from the release date fiasco. I am ready and I don't mind it being pushed back at all. I prefer the game working properly than having a big important launched forced out without minimum proper testing and scrutiny.I agree on the chill part as well.

It's all good. We don't need free stuff. The whole game is free stuff, those who choose to spend just get it a little faster. Anybody who can't cope with waiting a couple days might want to think about taking a break from the game entirely.

I’m happy they are giving us Darth Revan, a few days won’t change anything. These guys work hard to pull out quality content. Kudos to the developers and everyone is entitled to a weekend away from work so next week will be a fun week in game.

The last thing we need for the event is free crystals and gear.The "delay" already rendered any shard purchases outside energy and node refresh completely useless. I was advocating for a G10-11 difficulty, saying that the event should not be extremely exclusive. But neither should everyone have it the first time, and getting a "recompensation" for the delay now would only push even more people to get closer.

We really need to ban the word "everyone," since almost nobody seems to be capable of using it correctly. The event should be *exactly* as hard as JKR was; they don't design these events one way for the first run, then change them for repeats, the way they start is the way they always will be. There is literally no reason for people in the future to have a harder time getting DR than they do JKR. They are the dark and light sides of the same coin.Will there be more first time DR unlocks than there were first time JKR unlocks? Almost certainly. But not anywhere close to as many *total* JKRs as we have after two runs. All that would be accomplished by raising the gear requirement is getting some people, most of whom have probably already spent money, to spend even more money. It's not going to shrink the number of unlocks in any significant way, because people who already put in the money and/or effort to get these characters to 7 stars aren't going to just shrug and quit because they need to spend a little more on gear.

Considering nothing has really happened here id say just about everything note worthy is worse than this. The first thrawn event, chewy event c3po, intro of mods, intro of any raid, dark side territory battles was a mess, plenty of game breaking bugs throughout the years. Nerfs with no refunds, gear gate, mod gate.

Half?! That’s an insult to complaints! I think we need more complaining! I mean do you even remember Ships 2.0? Or the Sith Raid? Or dear god they nerfed my Enfys Nest? Ok that one wasn’t as big as the others.

I still dislike ships 2.0 after all this time. Deserves a revisit to make it start as a 4v4 or something.

They deserve criticism for it.

They gave a very clear statement on Monday saying that there was a 1-2 week window where the event would launch. They are still very much in that window. Seems legit.

No..."highly likely" in the next 1-2 weeks....and it "could" launch on the 21st.

They made that statement after the video and saying it was posted in error.

Were the packs released on the date they were in error too? I'm sure a lawyer would say no..just like they would agree they are still within their 1-2 week window...but we all know the packs are released to end the day the event ends.

A lawyer might also agree with waiting from Wed night until Thursday afternoon to tell everyone it will be delayed. Anyone that deals with people know that is not how to do things.

I don't understand people defending this behavior by them. Is it just to be contrarians? Fanboys? Trolling? Those are solid reasons.....thinking this is actually the way to go is not.

Agreed with a lot for what you said. The packs are one of the biggest tale take signs in my opinion that crap hit the fan and that they got off schedule. And if they weren't on schedule and released them anyhow it comes off worse because it seems like an underhanded way to make you pay for something you could get through farming.
JTR's event launched the day after bb8's event ended. The entire purpose of packs is to get you to pay for something that you can farm. Making money is not underhanded. Choosing a shortcut to farming is a player's decision

Purpose of packs is to get you something quicker that you can farm e.g. buy packs for said DR event, however if you purchased them bc 21st was a decent bet only to have it come later and that you have 1-2 weeks more time you'd have planned and farmed different. Panic farming is probably their bread and butter, making money isn't underhanded no one said that how you make money can be underhanded. Haha I don't know how to make it any clearer how some people maybe not you, but how others feel about the situation.
