The fairest way I think this should be addressed is a top down rework of the daily challenges. I'm not asking for stun cuffs in there, but things like holo projectors should be.
However, someone posted about the challenge gear on Reddit a while ago, and the response was something like "just because you don't need the gear doesn't mean that someone else doesn't".
That shows how out of touch the devs are with the player base. Everyone needs the same gear, and everyone has the same stockpiles of gear
