Echo does minimal damage and less assist chance with this new update makes him worse even.
Check Cody's HP and protection stats, not too far from Darth Maul's stats. The point now is why release premium toons (just like Maul) that is no better than a trophy toon for collection? It's not difficult to guess the cost to 7* Cody and Echo alone from chromiums, that plus the cost to max level and mex gear them.
Warmonkey did mention right that it was a bug fo Echo's assist, just like Fives double tap bug when omega ability was initially introduced. But they are so many other things that has higher priority for fix and these mediocre toons (arena-wise) had their fix that just turned them to be not viable anymore.
If this fix comes with some adjustment on let say Cody's and Echo's stats like increasing STR and AGI stats for them, then at least they are not too bad afterall.
Just like Maul and Fisto, they are premium and clearly not viable in top tier arena match at all.
