There's no reason to lock in your defense placement while still in *Defense* mode.
I honestly disagree. It forces you to think about what you're doing. And if you're putting the wrong character in the leader slot, you're not paying close attention to what you're doing. No disrespect meant to OP - I've had an "oops" placement or two myself, as have probably most people - but if you screw up you pay for it, just like in the actual match.
I think, ideally, you could see the map and drag and drop squads into different areas. Then if you wanted it would be easy to maybe swap a squad from the back with one from the front, for example.
I think of it kind of like playing chess where you can look at the board and decide before taking your finger off the piece.
We have this system currently . You can see the map and place squads on the 6-10 spots available if you want to rearrange anything don't press the confirm button untill your sure ( don't take your hand of the piece untill you have opened your eyes and checked your not falling into a checkmate ).
Your provided with all the information on your opponent at the start ,you receive no new information during the 24hr window of defense setting so moving a back team to the front could of been done at the start , it's not like your now privy to info you wasn't before setting that round .
Having a edit button for those that don't bother to put in the time to either make squads , do some recon or just pay attention? no thanks.
fail to prepare , prepare to fail .
