I'm still running droid death squad with B2 the slight meta change has actually gotten easier for me I've beaten teams with emperor probly 50 times now?? Never even seen him have 1 turn lol

I'd say Palpatine IS balanced. He doesn't hit hard, he isn't fast, he doesn't have a lot of health.

He has one good move. There are clear counters for Palpatine teams. Plenty of great characters have become f2p recently

Hey, with EP's lead my Arena team wrecks, but its not like it can't be beat. I tend to hover, when attentive, in the high 300-low 5/600 range, so, some days I'm better than others, sometimes I wait till later in the next day to do my Arena fights and I've been knocked back in the ranks. Its very obviously possible to beat said team. Just consider him the new Rey-the one you take out FIRST.

I didn't get Palpatene until the final day before the event ended. Earlier that week I started facing Palpatene teams fully maxed/leveled/geared..you name it. I'll admit at the beginning I was getting wrecked, but I figured out how to beat him. Basically I used a 225 speed Yoda and used battle meditation from the get go. That gave me a chance to get past the intial AoE stun and turn the battle in my favor. There are other methods to beat him but for me, Yoda was the key.


I don't agree with nerfs of any character. There are ways to beat any team..the fun part is finding out how. OP, what squad are you running if you don't mind me asking? Maybe I can offer some advice to help you out. Without the right squads/characters facing him is a challenge and can be very daunting.

I do use Palpatene now. He is very fun to play. Checking my Swgoh.gg account you can see how I go up and down in rank, so that there shows people can beat him. It's all about using the right character for the right job. Anyways OP let us know your squad you use, maybe we can help.

Learn balance people, this is not balance.

L2p is actually a very valid but vague response. There are many ways to beat/counter him. Learning how to counter/beat a character is learning to play.

Yes I have him fully geared, leveled and stared but he is not useful for the team I like running so he rides the bench in arena, is only used in GW.
