English-German glossary for SWGoH terms?

The game kept suggesting German guilds, probably based on my IP address, even though my installation is in English. And since it makes sense from a time zone perspective, I joined one of them. It's great fun so far and I don't want to switch guilds, but communicating with my guild mates can be a bit difficult since the translation of terms like shard is not always obvious. Nevermind things like hyper syringes. Is there a list somewhere of game-related terms in other languages?

    There are probably localization text files in the app package but unless you are using Android / a PC emulatoer and are a bit technical you wont have access to those.

    You could try breaking down the words and using Google translate.

    There's an idea. I'll try to find a tool to unzip the APK.

    I know the possible translations since I speak both languages, but there are multiple possibilities sometimes (e.g., The First Order could be either Erste Ordnung or Erster Orden, depending on if order is read in the religious sense). And it seems that some words like token weren't translated at all.



    pretty sure you have to install it and the localization file downloads when you open the game. (this is the first point of data mining)

    sdcard/android/data/swgoh_folder/cache/localization/local_LNG.txt

    i don't remember if all the gear is in there it might be in another binary file.

    PS: I suppose I could install the game in German by changing the language in Android, but then it would be harder to find tutorials or help in forums. And I haven't watched any of the movies dubbed in German since the original trilogy back in the day.

    If you get close enough they will likely get the gist of it even if you are not technically spot on. Just like we can often understand someone whose first language is not English because they got close enough to what they wanted to say.

    Don't your guild use a third-party app like Discord for communication? If so, some game screenshots from your German guild members might help.
