so once again we're having nifty new chars, but the NR leader is the last to come....and only 1 of the new chars can interract with 1 of the loaned leaders and said leader can't even use all it's ski...

Still way better than you having Teva from the beginning, then you don’t try anything else on lead because it makes more sense to you to stick on the leader on the era instead of trying different team comp.
One of the point of the borrowed characters is trying different composition, not sticking on what seems the only « logical » choice to you.
I'm going to have to disagree. An ideal lead doesn't mean you can't or shouldn't try other compositions, it just gives you a way to weave a better synergy with the units that you are working to get.
