Since there is a lot of comments about Ewoks in arena, let me clarify the situation for those on a old server and wondering about Ewoks on top of the ladder.
I have a 33K+ power Ewok team all the furballs at G9. Yes they can suck up the beating and recover but they lack the damage output and the resilience to stuns and negatives. So in the end they can't compete with the current Old Ben dodge meta simply because even if they survive the team the match will end in a draw, it is mathematical:
Old Ben ( leader ) + Fives + RG + Rey + QGJ ( or worse Leia ) is about 150K health and protection.
-Old Ben dodge leader is not jedi limited so every single toon will dodge you an insane amount of times.
-Old Ben will debuff your team for 1-2 turns with damage reduction.
-RG will keep you often 4 vs 5.
Teebo leader is mandatory to cope with Five, scramble the focus fire. So you lose the bonus damage from Chirpa and the reliable extra turn meter. Since Old Ben's aoe does not deal damage and since there is no aoe toon in the meta you won't get any benefits from Chirpas AoE group retaliation. The second best Ewok is in my mind the Elder, of course heal and resurrect are great, but his basic attacks pumps turn meter to himself and Teebo who is in charge of removing turn meter from opposition. The biggest question about Ewok team is who to pick for 4th and 5th. Running a 4 Ewoks team is not so beneficial and you would rather have a dispel, a taunt or a real damage. Unfortunately the top composition you will be facing will have Rey or Leia who can one shot almost any toon weakened by another squad member. So you end up with a gamble here, taking RG will secure Elder and QGJ, but you won't have the firepower to finish the 150K health pool of the meta team with all the dodged attacks that won't lend. Using QGJ gives you more damage and a second dispel that would help you if a dispel on opposite RG get resisted while you want to finish Rey before she heals up again from damaging. Bringing Rey yourself is a chance to beat the opposite team before 5min timer but if you get dodged your chances to lose are almost maxed up.
In conclusion, Ewoks are ace, they are fun to play with 2 nice synergetic leaders that can be swapped. They hold their ground in raid, in battles with this great sense of teamwork. But unfortunately, like the droid team or the sisters team, they can't compete in arena within 5min with the stupid non synergy teams composition that consist of a dodge leader skill that apply to everyone followed by 4 of the most powerful toons individually even if they do not have any synergy at all.
PS: not even sure Scout passive dodge Skill even works.
I have no issues completing within time frame. You need incorporate SIM into your battle strategy at the appropriate time (ie. when 5s and Ben are the only ones left standing) If you are having difficulty defeating an opponent within the 5min time frame, chances are they have the same issue when they face you. This helps maintain position within arena.
Old Ben should never take a turn, he will either be:
a) stunned consistantly from RG
b) TM reduction whenever you can
As for scout, he dodges left, right, and center for me.
The bottom line is, ewoks take strategy to use in high level shards. The AI does not do them justice, but then again, the AI never does for any team.
