If you can't be patient, don't play. I was in a similar situation but with the Yoda event and also Palpatine event. I was struggling to complete it at first and didn't have enough Jedi characters and so on. Plus I had to miss the event 2-3 times since I started playing the game. Jump to a year later, I have Yoda at 7 stars because I was patient and put together a Jedi team. I never complained once for them to lower the standards/requirements and make it easier so I could complete the event.

I was struggling with the Thrawn event myself, but I accepted failing the event back in October and retreated to prepare better for the next time it would pop up. All I had to do was gear characters better, 7-star Chopper and gear him plus get him to level 85, and then use him instead of Sabine. Got through the final tier of Thrawn event in one try/attempt and now have a 7-star Thrawn.

Oh and I'm 100% free-to-play. So that takes even more patience. But you'll eventually get Thrawn. It just takes time, patience, and accepting that you will have to wait for another time. And I'm pretty sure the Thrawn event will return. It's not a one-time thing or stops after 4-5 times.

Bull. This event is not like Yoda or palpatine AT ALL. Those events took time simply because we didn't have the required toons... Always missing a Jedi or 2, or someone wasn't 7* yet... The day we got those however, I got example could 7* both of them within an hour. No fuss, no shuffling of mods, no gear 9s and above... This one however: I gave them my best mods, pushed their levels to 83, geared them way higher than others in any other event...and it wasn't even hard. It was impossible. Like, "by the time I gained control someone would have died"-impossible.
No other event in the game is like this. For example, I have to spend 10 minutes just to make sure that Ezra isn't the last one to go in stage 3 or else he wouldn't be in position to take away the taunt in 4 - but he always did just that. 10 minutes later, he's finally in position to take away the taunt but right after that is a Fracture and both DTs going double-critical attacks with 10k+ damage each so someone always dies before the next person moves, then it's back to the beginning grinding 10min to get Ezra in position again... seriously, where's the room for tactics here beyond pure blind "I hope that DT misses" luck?
What justifies this much pain long after we qualify to complete this event?!
