Take a look at 8:14 - HT very low and Executors heal+re-taunt special ready, so a perfect opportunity to heal up HT back to full and give it the taunt back. Instead it "heals" the RC (which was on full HP and protection anyway) and puts the taunt on the most important ship for the fleet since it's the engine for all the breaches.
So either:
1) another proof that playtesting pretty much didn't happen beyond a "lets run this on auto 1 time against a Negotiator (and nothing else) - if it wins, it's fine; if it doesn't we'll take a look again"
2) the targeting for the healing special is random - which would be very stupid (just like Plo giving taunt to Ani)
3) the AI is coded to prioritize RC with that ability - then that's some 60 IQ design that someone came up with who probably thought that with all the %defense the RC is oging to be oh so tanky
So whichever (combo) of the possibilities above is true, it's just utterly hilarious. "SerylT2;c-2288067" wrote:

This ship was a huge letdown given all the hype and steep requirement to unlock. Yes its great on offense but most fleets are good on offense very few are great on defense. Devs made it seem like if you get this ship you rule your shard like getting a GL rules non-GL teams but it isn't the case.
My personal opinion of fixing this is maybe give ship give all ship on fleet a plus 10% speed boost for any empire or bh ships. It would solve issue of it being too fast without altering too much to make the ship completely op
Yeah I think the biggest thing is to fix it so a 7* Executor is better than a 4*. Fix that speed issue. Then I am sure when Dengar's ship comes in it can make the fleet a little more of a challenge on defense. I think that would do enough to improve the Capital ship without making it game breaking.
If they make the Capital Ship game breaking.. people in highly active older shards should prepare for nothing but mirror match after mirror match for the next year. Seems some are foolish enough to believe it will give them an advantage where if they are in a shard that old.. there is no reason a 100 others won't have it also. Constant mirror matches kill squad based games.
Not sure how its was any different before executor, it was all mirror match before either Nego v Nego or Malevolence v Malevolence with a sprinkle of Nego v Malevolence. Ship been mirror for 3 yrs since they made starting ship lineup 3 instead 5, tbh it was harder when it was 5 starting ship lineup because then you could actually hold if your pilots were geared. CG out to make money so they hype a ship and its pretty underperforming on defense- LordDirt4 years agoSeasoned AceAs crazy as it is, I actually beat a mirror team that blew up my ship.

Not sure where you got that idea.- MasterSeedy4 years agoSeasoned AceThere was someone who ran Ahsoka in their starting lineup with an r4 Kenobi. I used to mirror that one all the time when it came up (just plink HT once, then Nego Special to nuke Ahsoka and I had 100% win chance). Otherwise, no mirrors at all for more than a year.

I hope they realize people simply aren't going to wait in order to start initiating reparations on this. They'd do themselves a huge service by simply issuing a statement today with a bit more detail than "in the future".
Unfortunately they will not issue any statement with more information until that information is in a solid place.
They can't say "this is a top priority for us at the moment" or simply "we are actively working on it" when earnings are flying out the window? We are well past the "is there really a problem?" phase.
Maybe the silence does speak louder than words.
They will not make any promises about the activities they may be taking, as that can lead to it's own set of issues. For instance if they said we are working on testing through the weekend, and they find that the changes were not enough, people would be upset if nothing comes of it on Monday.
They said they are looking into it, and that they are investigating possible changes. That is a firm as things usually are until there are changes they can announce.
Except that CG via CG_Doja_Fett_MINI etc. have made a habit of making this kind of "we're looking into it" type of post and then nothing happens and we also never hear from them again on the subject.
For instance the recent JMK plus Slow GR Tank situation: CG post saying they're looking into it...that was 2-months ago and they never said another word about it!
Well the players aren't going to sit around beyond the 28-day window for getting a refund from Google/Apple while CG stick their heads in the sand over this situation and hope for it to go away (or for yet another massive new muck up to come along and take the attention!)
CG have rapidly burned through any remaining crumbs of trust players had in them with regards to pre-release testing and commitments to vastly improved communications with players given that they've utterly failed on both counts more and more!
In this case they have said it is not hitting the mark, and they are "looking into it". When this has been the case can you site an example where they have not acted?
Well firstly the exact example I just gave with the JMK + slow GR Tank where they said "We are aware of an unintended interaction" and ended with "We will keep you updated" - never heard from them again!
Secondly the CAT AI vs Zombie/Brute situation where they said "We are aware of some potentially unintended interactions" and then said they were "likely to take action in the future to address" - never heard from them again!
Correct.
But we can both note that they have not had an instance where they have said X is not hitting the mark and we are looking into it, and that not lead to an action.
Unintended interactions will happen, and if they result in something more, like not hitting an expected mark, they would take further action, and we would hear about it.
Just adding a thought here - I think most of the contention is that it’s exceedingly rare for CG to post that they’re “looking into” something, and then later say anything along the lines of “we determined that we don’t want to change anything now for X reason” or “we’ll continue to look at specific interactions but for now we don’t see a need for a change”. It’s either followed by a mechanical change or by no followup at all.
Having more closure on the topics would help. I can see why such posts may be… unpopular, but it’s better than being left in the dark. - spazz100g4 years agoNew Scout

Another thing I’ve seen thrown around a lot is “for the investment” regarding executor, while it’s true that it requires 2 r8 which is a pain in the butt, outside of that, I don’t see a hell of a lot of difference between that and any other meta fleet (save malebolence who skates by.)
r8, jka 7, fives 7, ashoka 5+, Rex 5+, up to you on plo adare etc but los have those relic as well.
Ackbar r2+, chewie Han 5+, srp bistan r0-3, biggs r3, wedge relic 5, up to you on rogue one.
Finalizer needs everyone mid to high relic.
Sure executor has slightly higher requirement, but it’s not like the other ships skate by with all g9 and expect to be competitive. If they make the ship unbeatable, they officially killed gac.
Except for ackbar, srp and bistan, every character from those fleets are either strong characters or prerequisites for GLs. For executor: Bounty hunters pilots are… bounty hunters, piett at r8 is crazy overgeared and tie fighter pilot is a benchwarmer (Vader is fine though). Usefulness of the pilots is a big part of the investment cost imo.
Absolutely r8 piett is overkill, so is bobba. That being said I had bobba and bossk r5 to begin with, and tfp was already r6 as well because my empire fleet is also leveled up, including Saxon and isc (talk about bad characters)
Every fleet has some dud pilots, and every fleet requires overgearing of some you sure as hell don’t want to gear. I’ll give you executor is on the steeper end of that vs say negotiator, but not by much.
Either way, executor is clearly at the top of the meta, but not unbeatable, if needs some tweaks to help 7 star over 4 star (really cg?) but outside of that it’s functioning as it should, If not what they intended. The argument though of “investment” doesn’t really hold water. - clarencetomas4 years agoSeasoned Ace

Another example of how maxing a unit makes it worse. A safe bet is that they're just reusing Plo special AI behavior and they didn't test almost any of this at all except to make sure it didn't interfere with SUPER RARE jawa relic mat popups.
Executor: *opens with basic*
CG: "Here's where this new meta ship really crushes. If you're countering it, good luck"
Counter fleet: *pew pews HT with g12 rebels and some luckyish crits*
Executor: *sticks taunt on RC and then rolls over so the counter fleet can rub its tummy* "yodacao;c-2288990" wrote:

Interestingly, if they made it 5v5 from the start again, Slave 1 would outspeed the Executor by one because its new ability grants +5 speed per enemy at the start of the battle or when it reinforces. 168 + 25 = 193 and Executor is max 192.- xGriiMErZz4 years agoSeasoned Ace

It would be generous of CG to give crystals to all who 7* the ship due to missing out on top daily rewards but we know that isnt happening.
Just use another fleet that beats it...
